The beautifully straight smile of your dreams is within reach – and it doesn’t involve metal brackets or wires. Dr. Michael Tiplea offers orthodontic options including Clear Correct or Invisalign treatment at Allen Dental Studio in Allen, TX.
Why clear braces?
Lots of problems come with adulthood, one of which being that appearance takes on greater importance. In adolescence, metal braces might seem annoying and a little embarrassing. As an adult with a social life and professional image to maintain, they might be out of the question. Yet, crooked teeth certainly don’t help you make a great first impression. If this describes your dilemma, then it’s time to ask Dr. Tiplea about cosmetic adult braces.
Our orthodontics are unlike traditional metal braces in many ways. They are:
- Beautiful – We use clear resin aligners, which are virtually impossible to see when worn.
- Comfortable – Forget bulky brackets and wires! Aligners are thin and lightweight.
- Removable – Straightening teeth doesn’t mean dietary restrictions, because your aligners are removed during meals.
- Convenient – Removable aligners also make oral hygiene simple.
- Effective – In most cases, the results of aligner-based orthodontics are comparable to those of traditional braces.
Is orthodontic treatment right for you?
If you want a straighter smile, the answer is probably, “yes.” People with very mild tooth rotation who want to visually straighten teeth without braces may prefer veneers. Although they do not change the position of teeth, they can dramatically change the appearance. However, for problems such as overbite, underbite, or crowded teeth, braces are the best choice.
About the procedure
The process begins with an examination and discussion to determine if you are a good candidate. If so, we will take x-rays, impressions, and other records as needed. This data is used to create a treatment plan, with a series of aligners for incremental tooth movement. Once the plan is refined and your custom aligners are fabricated, it’s time to get started.
All you need to do is wear your aligner, day and night. Only remove it for meals and oral hygiene. After about two weeks, you’ll discard the first aligner and begin wearing the next one, and so on. As you progress through the series of aligners, you will notice your teeth becoming straighter bit by bit until your ideal smile is achieved.
